Charles Jackson, Head Instructor
Charles
Jackson, a 4th degree Decided Black Belt, is the proud Owner and Head
Instructor at Full Circle DoJang. Upon the opening of his karate school
in 2006, he enrolled 12 students within the first few days, tripled that
amount within the first 3 months, and in less than a year of his doors
opening, the Martial Arts school has a roster of more than 100 students!
Mr. Jackson, a Neptune resident, has held various leadership positions
within the community prior to discovering his passion in Martial Arts.
He is a lifetime member with the Monmouth County Bowling Association and
officiated in various Board positions; such as President. He served as
Assistant Scout Master for Troop 190 in Neptune for 2 years and then
held the distinguished position of Scout Master for an additional 2
years.
His
introduction to Martial Arts and Karate came as a result of some
personal challenges in the early 1990s and for 2 years he studied
Shaolin Kempo Jiu-Jitsu. He then moved to Jackson, NJ (New Jersey)
where he became interested in TaeKwonDo.
Over
the course of several years, he moved up the ranks rather quickly,
achieving positions of authority; he obtained his Blue Collar status as a
Blue Belt, his Red Collar as a Black Belt, Black Collar status and then
Senior Certified as he served in his role as Director at Bryan Klein's
TaeKwonDo Academy. He achieved his Third Degree Decided Black Belt in October 2007 by renown Grand Master LeComte, who is a 7th degree Black Belt.
Charles
Jackson possesses a natural talent for teaching and with that comes an
unlimited amount of energy, flexibility and humor. Mr. Jackson has
taught the key aspects of Martial Arts to children as young as 3 years
of age and has had the privilege to train those same students as they
continue on through their colored belts towards the ultimate goal of the
Black Belt. His resume boasts a 10 year Instructor status and during
that time has taught and trained at least 45 students to their Black
Belt status, assisted 10 Junior Instructors with their Red Collar
status, a Junior Certified status, and 16 Red, White & Blue Collar
status all within the United TaeKwonDo Academy where he was previously
the Head Instructor.
His
personal motivation comes from knowing that he can touch a student's
life in a very positive manner and then witness each of his student's
growth and personal victory to possess a "Yes, I can do it!"
attitude. When his students complete a class and then leave his karate
school with a smile on their face, he knows that he has made a
difference in a child's life that day. It just doesn't get any better
than that!
